All
of us saw Desert Storm unfold in the dessert through the
cameras of CNN, but was it really like? We get a more gritty
look in Three Kings. An ensemble cast of George Clooney,
Mark Wahlberg, Ice Cube, and Spike Jonze portray four Army
soldiers during the last days of Desert Storm. They learn
about the location of stolen Kuwaiti gold and strike out on
their own in a wild treasure hunt. This movie goes beyond the typical action movie. It puts the characters is life or death situations where they must not only survive but choose between right and wrong. They must balance their greed with their humanity. The great directing style really puts you there in the desert as the action unfolds. I liked it so much, I saw it again the following week. |
