First off, forget that Keanu Reeves has the lead role in this movie. If you're not a fan of his, don't worry -- he makes it work. The Matrix is the best made science fiction movie I've seen in recent memory (and my memory is not too shabby). While the trailers give a glimpse of the innovative special effects employed, they don't even begin to hint at the rich storyline. In fact, the discovery of "the Truth" is so fantastic, that mentioning any more about it would be a disservice to you. Let's just say that this movie combines fantastic special effects and action tightly woven into a thought-provoking plot. Trust me, you'll be rooting for Keanu in this one. I always ask people after they have seen this one, if like me, they left the theater looking at the world with a more perceptive eye. Can you handle the truth? |
