L.A. Confidential is a crime drama set in Los Angeles (duh!) in the 1950s. The acting is superb up and down the cast of characters. The story is very well written and keeps the suspense throughout. I can't say I'm a fan of police dramas or even this time period, but I was immersed in the plot from the get-go. The actors in the lead roles managed to rise even above such notables as Kevin Spacey and Kim Basinger to give us stellar performances. I can't wait to see this one again. |
